How often is it that you get told that when it comes to home decoration it is the little things that add up, the small details that matter? In fact it is the same with the garden as well as the home. You need to be considering the small things as well as the big.

This can mean all sorts of things, from the color of the fence to what type of flower you grow in a particular part of the garden. It can also mean that you should consider such factors as fence post caps.

Fence Post Caps

Fence post caps are, as the name implies, literally caps that sit on top of fence posts. They are usually simply decorative – but they can also have a very practical purpose as well.

For example one of the fastest growing types of fence post caps is the solar panel version – which allows not only a stylish cap to the fence post but also provides an excellent source of ‘green energy’ for the home.

Other types include sharp or at least sloped caps. These are extremely useful in helping to deter people from climbing over the fence – intruders into the home.

Of course that isn’t to say that fence post caps aren’t decorative – in fact many of them are simply designed to help make the fence look as attractive as possible. For such items the main consideration has to be whether they can make your fence look amazing – and how it will fit in with the rest of the garden.

Fence post caps aren’t the first thing that you think of when you are doing up the garden – or even when putting up a fence. But they are something that you should be paying attention to. Because the details matter.
